➽ Biografía de Travis Barker
Travis Landon Barker es un músico estadounidense. Nació el 14 de noviembre de 1975 en Fontana, California , fue el baterista de The Transplants, Plus 44 y Expensive Taste. También fue miembro de grupos como Feeble, The Suicide Machines, The Aquabats, Box Car Racer y Blink-182, ha colaborado puntualmente en otros como Black Eyed Peas y OutSide. Empezó a tocar la batería a la edad de 4 años y estudió música con un profesor de jazz. Travis ha tenido influencias de la música punk, jazz y hip-hop.
Travis tuvo sus primer set de batería con cuatro años, como regalo de cumpleaños de su madre. Con cinco años se apuntó a clases de batería, donde fue alumno de un profesor de jazz que le ayudó a descubrir muchos géneros musicales pese a su corta edad. Después de su graduación en el instituto, en 1993 tocó en grupos como Feeble, Suicide Machines y The Aquabats, con quienes cosechó más éxito hasta ese momento. En 1998 The Aquabats y Blink 182 se encontraban de gira juntos. Scott Raynor dejó o fue apartado (aún hoy no se saben a ciencia cierta las causas) de Blink 182 por sus problemas con el alcohol. Travis se convirtió así en el nuevo baterista de la banda de San Diego y tuvo que aprenderse 24 canciones en unas pocas horas para presentarse. Unos meses después se le propuso estar en la banda de modo indefinido. Fue baterista oficial hasta febrero del 2005 cuando la banda puso fin a su carrera. Con Blink 182 grabó tres álbumes de estudio.
